About Me

Make a point was founded in 2018, in order to help people who want to bring  more authenticity into their communications and leadership roles.  The company is currently led by Maz Ifzal who is a Founding Director and the  trainer for Make a point.

Since the company was founded we’ve trained hundreds of participants in open workshops and one to one sessions. The workshops have been utilized by companies spanning the Fortune 500, government, non-profit and privately held businesses.

No matter who we’re training, all of our work proceeds from the same philosophy – that relationships are at the heart of what it means to be human, and that if you get the relationships right everything else falls into place naturally.

This inside out approach means that the scope of this work extends to every aspect of individual communication – from helping people be more inclusive leaders, through to allowing people to be more compelling speakers or presenters.

If you want to communicate in a way that’s really effective and really real, you’ve come to the right place.

In House Training

Our in-house public speaking training is tailored to your requirements and is delivered at your premises at a time and date that’s convenient for your staff.

If just the thought of public speaking makes you break out in a cold sweat, you’re not alone.

The fact is public speaking is often listed as the world’s number one fear.

1 to 1 Training

Public speaking is a fundamental communication skill that builds career and life success. We are not born with the skills of public speaking but learn them.

Terrified to speak in front of a group?

Through our Public Speaking bootcamp we’ll teach you how to conquer your biggest enemy: FEAR. We’ll provide you with plenty of opportunities to master key verbal and non-verbal skills, and show you how to incorporate essential public speaking techniques such as storytelling, humor and relevant and effective visual aids into your presentations.

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."

Maz gave me excellent advice at a recent workshop in Birmingham. All information was presented to the group in a clear friendly manner which encouraged interaction. Well done Maz

Maz practises what she preaches - she gave an excellent demonstration of communicating clearly and effectively, harnessing the power of non-verbal communication. Lots of hints and tips to go away and practice!

Maz's workshop on public speaking was fantastic. It highlighted the impact of body language and speech on your business pitches and networking, and guided you through how to improve this. Maz also approached the subject with lots of passion and enthusiasm which ensured everyone was engaged.
